LYMI Records Sampler, Vol. 2

Sampler Vol. 2 is our second annual release highlighting the extremely talented folks within and adjacent to our circle. We curated this compilation just for your eager ears, and we couldn’t be more proud to showcase all of these amazing artists to help shed a bit more well deserved light on their tunes.
All proceeds benefit YEAH Rocks.

Griffin Moyer
“Okok”

We're so excited to have Griffin as our only return guest from Sampler, Vol 1. We love his songs, voice, guitar playing, and shiiii just about everything else! Check out Griffin’s debut record ‘Liar’s Disguise’ here.

The Tuners
“Atlas”

Hailing from Portland, OR, The Tuners have a knack for melody, tone, and seamlessly blending genres in playful and unexpected ways. “Atlas” is a great introduction to the tasty (🤤) palette that their music provides. Check out The Tuners’ record ‘Chapter Book’ here.

Texas Welcome Center
“Feline”

Texas Welcome Center is a project made up of songwriters Gigi Hull & Hunt Pennington, and we're lucky enough to be sharing their FIRST RELEASE EVER (😵). Texas Welcome Center's crisp production, earnest vocals, pointed lyrics, catchy synth lines, and dynamic songwriting blends perfectly into the type of indie rock that simultaneously makes your heart burst and sends you dancing around the room.

Patzy
“Come Back Down”

A project born between songwriter/producer Patrick Sewalk & drummer/producer Logan Todd. Patzy blends the world of rock, psychedelia, pop, and folk songwriting into a sound all their own. Instead of giving us an already recorded song for the Sampler, the two used the opportunity to make something new! Leaning into joyous melodies, indelible synth lines, and pumping rhythms, we think they’ve crafted your new 2022 summer bop.

The Fly By Night Show
“If You Want”

As our first foray into comedy, we’re happy to include The Fly By Night Show, made up of duo Alex Dolezal & Aidan Fealy. The two host a monthly late night show in town featuring skits, improv, and their own original songs, as well as spotlighting other local comedians in Nashville. “If You Want” is one of those original tunes about the lengths we’ll go in a job interview to get whatever job we can. We hope you’ll enjoy!

Casters
“Your House”

With roots in Knoxville and Nashville, NYC based Casters, fronted by Andrew Strader, is one of our nearest, dearest, and oldest friends. Casters has a knack for crafting guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and luscious arrangements that live rent-free in your brain. He's also a major driving force in our semi-weekly newsletter over on Substack. It’s the best place to stay up to date on what we’re doing and get exclusive early access to many releases as a paid subscriber.

Sara Bug
“Back in Nashville”

We at LYMI would like to challenge you to listen through Sara Bug’s “Back in Nashville” without finding yourself screaming the last chorus at the top of your lungs. It’s gah dang impossible! We fell in love with her self-titled debut in 2021 and just think she’s one of the best songwriters around. We're lucky to have her on this here sampler and can’t wait to hear more!

Joey Joesph
“Where Angels Dare”

Hailing from Cincinnati, we have Joey Joesph up next! His tunes are ripe with electrifying energy and crisp production. We've been a huge fan of everything he does for a while now, so much so that we enlisted him to design our logo and cover art for each Sampler. We also figured he'd be a great addition to the tracklist and my lort, did he deliver 🤌

Infinity Backflip
“Clean Linen, Do the Trick”

Another heavy hitter inbound, Infinity Backflip. Masters of dynamic range, feast your ears on their gritty production and grungy sonic palette. We're lucky to have them on this here Sampler!

The Mango Furs
“Mother Nature’s Child”

The dream child of front man Chris Higdon, but made real with a tight 5 piece band, this next group has a sound all their own. Reminiscent of the psychedelia of the 60’s & 70’s, the group masterfully uses cavernous reverb, harmonies that would make Brian Wilson smile, and a tasty amount of sweet sweet flanger to create a sound that sends you headfirst into a dreamy world of mushy musical goodness.

Captain Culture
“Warm ‘n Naked”

Warm 'n what now? For our last entry, the enigmatic Captain Culture, backed by the Regular Tractor Noises, each take turns expressing how they'd like to go out, if'n they had the choice. They seem mighty familiar but we can't quite put our fingers on it 🤔
